The Printshop supports emerging artists by providing 24-hour studio access, financial and technical assistance, and learning and exposure opportunities. | Description of Service |
The Lower East Side Printshop offers artists full access to professional printmaking facilities for independently produced projects. Artists work in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary printmakers. Participants should have experience in the techniques and the equipment they wish to use. Technical assistance is not included in the Studio Rental program, but is available at additional cost. Studio rental is available to the US and international artists. Studio rental is available on the hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis from $20 an hour, to $250 per month. Includes workspace, storage shelf, access to tools and equipment, basic supplies, and a 20% discount on the Printshop’s Classes. Editioning paper is not included. To participate, please contact the Printshop Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm to schedule your rental, provide your artistic resume, up to 20 images of your work on slides or a CD, a letter of intent, and the name and contact information for one reference. |
