Year Program Founded 2007
Description of Program The Fogelberg Studio Fellowship is designed to provide two emerging ceramic artists with an opportunity to be in residence for one year at the Northern Clay Center, where they can develop their own work, as well as exchange ideas and knowledge with other ceramic artists. In addition, this award provides professional opportunities teaching ceramics in educational settings. Fellowship recipients share a large, fully-furnished studio space from September through August. In addition to the workspace, each fellowship includes materials and a firing stipend.
Conditions/Public Service Requirements Recipients’ work will be included in a group exhibition featuring several artists. Artists are also required to create approximately 150 vessels for Soup It Up, an annual fundraiser that supports a variety of educational and youth programs throughout the Twin Cities, including this particular program.
