Mission Statement ARTSOUTH is a 3.5 acre professional artist community located on Krome Avenue in Historic Downtown Homestead. Currently, ArtSouth is the working place of nearly 40 studio artists, and 50 studios available for rent. Description of Program ArtSouth is unique among art centers in that it features both the performing and visual arts in a single complex, supporting artists, art education, service learning and community outreach. BENEFITS: Low-cost studios, Exhibition opportunities, Cooperative facilities, Teaching opportunities. Applications – reviewed by resident juried artists and are valid for 3 years from the date of jury selection. Terms are renewable once, for a total of six years. Consideration for senior residency may be made after two terms, and will be valid for one to three years if selected.
