Description of Program |
Finishing Funds provides support to New York State artists for the completion (post-production) of film, video, sound, new media and Web-based art. Awards are made annually and range from $500 to $2,500. Finishing Funds is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA). |

Eligible work includes:
• Audio, electronic media, and film, including but not limited to: animation; documentary; experimental; performance; interactive; Web-based; multi-disciplinary and narrative forms. The panel will look for work that takes risks.
• Single or multi-channel presentation, installation, performance, airwave transmission, interactive media, DVD, CD, the Web or other electronic distribution system. |

Selection Process/Criteria |
Awards are based on creative excellence, and are made to artists at all career levels. Applications are reviewed by a peer panel of artists, which changes every year. All written materials are sent to and reviewed by panelists prior to the panel meeting. Artwork samples will be presented at the panel meeting. The panel has the sole ability to make awards, and will meet within six (6) weeks of the application deadline. |
