It provides the artists the opportunity to capture the many moods of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in their particular medium. The park offers a park residence (rent free) for up to four weeks during the months of September or October of each year. Limited reimbursement is available for in-park mileage and other out-of-pocket expenses during the artist's stay. Select from 3 accommodations: Sullivan's Creek Cabin, Sand Point Residence and Grand Marais Dorm. Selections will be made on the basis of merit and how their work can advance the mission of the Lakeshore and the National Park Service. Selections will be made without regard to race, religion, sex, disability, marital status, age, or national origin.
