Description of Support or Services Each artist receives a stipend of $1,300. This includes artist acting as juror to select the next round of Newark Museum Resident Artists for 2013. In addition, in-kind materials and technical support is supplied to each artist depending on project needs. The Newark Museum Arts Workshop consists of three studios; one for weaving, fiber, textiles, and related areas of study; one for fine metals and enameling; and one that is open for a variety of disciplines. Artists will have available for them the resources of the Museum including the major collections, special exhibitions, The Educational Loan Collection (a repository of approximately 15,000 objects for study or visual reference) and Library.

Material/Process First, there is no application form to fill out, no references to seek or fees to pay. Please send ten (10) JPEG images or a video/film clip of five minutes or less of your current work along with, resume, artist statement, residency proposal and, if you want your material back, a SASE. Do please include a hardcopy list of your images and information about them and how or in what manner they should be viewed. Send material by e-mail or CD.
