Description of Program |
Danspace Project's City/Dans program presents and supports New York-based emerging and established choreographers throughout the year through the commissioning and premiering of new work. In addition Danspace Project presents select national and international work, often introducing acclaimed national and international artists to New York City audiences for the first time. |
Conditions/Public Service Requirements |
Danspace Project does not have a formal application process (except DraftWork, see below) and work is reviewed by the Executive Director and guest curators throughout the year. Artists are welcome to submit materials but due to the high volume of solicitations Danspace cannot guarantee a response to unsolicited proposals (Please do not send master copies of dvds, videos or other materials). You are welcome to invite Danspace Project program staff to a performance or rehearsal as an introduction to your work. Please note that this is a process that often takes several years and there are no deadlines. Website: http://www.danspaceproject.org/forartists/about_our_programs.php |
