WSW is an aritst's workspace dedicated to encouraging the voice and vision of women artists. WSW works to create professional opportunities and employment for women, to encourage women of diverse cultural backgrounds to work at the WSW studios, to provide affordable workspace and state-of-the-art technology, and to develop educational programming for artists and the art-interested public. |

Description of Program |
Since 1983, Women's Studio Workshop's Internship Program in Rosendale New York has been providing young artists with the opportunity to learn first-hand how women can manage productive, successful careers as professional artists. WSW interns learn techniques for developing their work, build various new computer and studio-based skills, and are introduced to methods of gaining funding and exhibition opportunities. Interns also learn about the management of a renowned arts organization. |

Description of Support or Services |
Interns work full-time during their term. They are encouraged to work on their own art and are provided access to all WSW studios in their non-working hours. WSW provides a private room in our on-site housing and a stipend of $250/month. |
