Mission Statement Founded in 1979 by Jeffrey Horowitz, the mission of Theatre for a New Audience is to help develop and vitalize the performance and study of Shakespeare and classic drama. Description of Service The New Voices Project is a residency program in which students develop the skills that enable them to write original plays. The program introduces Shakespeare and classic to young students. Teaching artists visit classrooms and teach the basics of playwriting. The program can be tailored to meet specific school needs.
