Mission Statement The National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC) is one of the nation’s leading nonprofit organizations exclusively dedicated to the promotion, advancement, development, and cultivation of the Latino arts field.

In this capacity, NALAC stimulates and facilitates intergenerational dialogues among disciplines, languages, and traditional and contemporary expressions.

Description of Program Open to Latinx artists with at least ten (10) years of experience working in any artistic discipline with demonstrated mastery of the craft. The award supports an exemplary Mentor-Mentee project that enables reciprocal knowledge and skill transfer between a Latinx artist with demonstrated mastery in an artistic discipline and a Latinx mentee artist.

    • Artist/ Ensemble must not have received funding from the NFA during the previous cycle; and

    • Artist/ Ensemble members must have submitted Final Report for any previously awareded NFA grants.

    • Artist must be established with at least ten years of experience working in her/his artistic discipline with demonstrated mastery of her/his craft.

    • Establish a mentor/mentee relationship with another Latino artist.

    • Project must result in the transfer of skills and creation of work that demonstrates the mentor/mentee relationship.

    • A portion of the funds from this award must be used to provide funding support to the mentee artist.

    • The project must advance the work of both mentor and mentee.
