Description of Program |
WSAC's Roster of Teaching Artists is a resource directory of high quality teaching artists who are especially well suited for working with K-12 public schools. The teaching artists included in this roster are strong individual artists who are also experienced educators, and are able to support classroom teachers by making connections between their art form and the Washington State standards in the arts. Many of these teaching artists are also skilled in integrating arts concepts with concepts in other subject areas, such as dancing and math, or drawing and literacy. And many also have particular skills and interests related to professional development for classroom teachers, or working with specific student populations.
