| Description of Service |
The Intentional is a print literary and culture magazine that supports emerging writers and prizes approachability. They consider original fiction, poetry, literary journalism, creative nonfiction and memoirs.
Web submissions, like print submissions, must come only from emerging writers and must be previously unpublished. As a general rule, web submissions should not exceed 2,000 words.
Submissions to the website will only be considered for the two columns we're working with at the moment: "You Are A Visitor," which focuses on the intersection between environment and identity, and our "Read When You're" book reviews. Please review the column requirements by clicking on each submission category on our Submittable page to learn more. Please do not send any miscellaneous submissions for consideration on the website.
