Mission Statement Dance/USA was founded in 1982 following the release of a report by the Task Force for a National Dance Organization, which called for the establishment of a national service organization for professional dance. Dance/USA's members include over 400 ballet, modern, ethnic, jazz and tap companies, dance service and presenting organizations, individuals, and other organizations nationwide.

Description of Service Dance/USA hosts an annual Conference to bring together individuals associated with the professional dance field for networking, creative conversation, enriching training sessions, discussion on important issues facing the field, and performances. Programming at the conference is a mix of discussion-based sessions and practical breakout sessions.
Conditions/Public Service Requirements Dance/USA members receive discounted registration fees. A Dance/USA member is an organization or individual who has paid member dues to Dance/USA for the current member year.
