Description of Program |
Greenwich House Pottery will offer Fellowships with a projected one month deep-immersion period. Fellows receive a $2,000 stipend during their stay in NYC as well as access to Greenwich House Pottery’s equipment and dedicated work areas during regular business hours. |
Conditions/Public Service Requirements |
Fellows are required to spend at least five weekdays at Greenwich House Pottery each week, during business hours. Studio visits from members and informal discussions are encouraged. All Fellows are expected to share elements of their practice via formal or informal learning opportunities within the Greenwich House Pottery community or our public community. |

Facilities include professional equipment and materials, including 2 gas kilns, 5 electric kilns, 2 large format slab rollers, 1 clay mixer, 3 de-airing pug mills, 2 clay extruders, 4 clay bodies, and an extensive inventory of glazes and chemicals.
• A group exhibition in the Jane Hartsook Gallery
• Use of stock materials
• Free Stocked clay (Porcelain for sale $20 per 25lbs)
• Firing stipend
• Semi-private studio space
• Access to 2 Gas and 5 Electric kilns

The Fellowship program will select an artist based on an individual’s overall practice as an artist, with consideration for how they might fit into Greenwich House Pottery’s environment and contribute to the organization’s growth and public engagement. Fellows have exhibited a sustained and lasting involvement in the field. |
