Description of Service |
Residency Programs are sequential workshops during which teaching artists actively engage students in creative experiences as musicians, singers, dancers, visual artists, actors and writers. These programs are developed so that they are integrated into a curriculum, address the Learning Standards and are tailored to meet the needs of participating students. Residencies vary in length with a minimum of eight sessions per class. There are additional materials fees, which vary by project. |
Conditions/Public Service Requirements |
A pre-residency planning meeting is required in order to plan the scope of curriculum integration and to ensure that the residency is adapted to the developmental and skill level of each group of students. Ideally, meetings should be scheduled individually with each participating teacher.
