Description of Program Residency that offers artists an opportunity to seek both solitude and solidarity in the nurturing environment of the Indiana Dunes, to meet citizens and learn some of the history of this special place, and to share with us the fruits of creativity so long appreciated by all of the friends of the Dunes. For more information see: http://www.nps.gov/indu/historyculture/air.htm
Conditions/Public Service Requirements Residents donate a piece of art, representative of their style and reflecting their residency, to the park for the park collection. The piece must be representative of the style shown in your slides. Artists are also required to provide the copyright for this artwork to the National Park Service. The artist will allow unrestricted, unlimited use of the artwork. The artist retains a royalty-free, nonexclusive use license under the copyright of the art. The artist must be willing to volunteer a few hours for a program. The program must be appropriate for all age groups. The artist must clearly explain what the audience will learn from your program. Slide shows must be a component to a demonstration: the slide program alone will not suffice. There is at present no stipend. You must provide your own food, bed linen, personal gear and art supplies.
