Description of Program Website: http://www.maboumines.org/resident-artist-program An annual performance laboratory in which artists experiment with performance ideas. Resident artists are appointed to the Suite to work on particular ideas. New work is shown at the level the artist feels would benefit its development. Audiences are invited at no charge to readings, works-in-progress or small scale productions. All works shown in the Suite have been developed at TORONADO (Mabou Mines Studio).
Conditions/Public Service Requirements Two public showings. Resident artists are required to adhere to the rules of the program, which include participating in the scheduling and maintenance of the studio, the mailing of the performance calendar, and the care of the sound and lighting facilities.

Description of Support or Services Resident artists meet regularly with Mabou Mines Co-Artistic Directors in a forum-type setting to discuss and advance ideas. Mabou Mines provides Resident Artists with mentoring, rehearsal space, administrative assistance, technical equipment, and advice.
